When traveling around Ladakh, you invariably end up spending hours at end on deserted stretches of smooth tarmac. All along these curvy, winding roads, there’s one companion which never leaves your back – the Border Roads Organization.
The fact that they manage to lay expressway quality roads on such a difficult terrain is wonderous enough. Not stopping there, they persistently drive the ideas of safe driving home by constant repetition.
During our maiden trip to the northern wonderland, we tried to capture as many of their roadside signage messages as possible. Informative, humorous, poetic, introspective – all flavors are on offer. Adding to the fun, Siachen Warriors have joined the party too.
